Hey guys. Sorry for neglecting my blog the past few days but Ive been working on some comic pages to submit to editors. I'm also working on an online comic that will shortly be posted every week, on my blog and it is starring my own characters.
Today's post was a fun challenge for me. Since Ive been doing these narrative pages I thought it would be fun to do a quick narrative sketch. When I approach a page it takes a lot of planning and reference research. This little sketch story took about an hour and it was fun just to let go and if i make a mistake then so be it. I also thought it was cool to do it on orange paper for a orange and black Halloween/horror effect.Enjoy.And thnx to those who follow.

Some folks are telling me that the post bellow looks like Chris Walken. Its not, but this is. Frustrated because I don't really see Christopher Walken in the picture bellow so I whipped up a Walken for you guys. I used orange because it struck me as a creepy color to use for him. Thnx

Ive got an opportunity to produce some great work. So I jumped on it and researched a bunch of reference and sketched a series of portrait caricatures of music legends and movie characters. The sketches are rough but I made sure the proportions were accurate enough to eventually transfer to colored paper. I will post the finished pieces as I work.

I started this piece last night while watching my new favorite shows, Californication, and Weeds. Shows like this are really inspiring. I have a bunch of new projects I'm working on and will be posting them in the near future. This piece is one part of a series of pieces I'm working on. So here are the roughs. Enjoy.

Today's post is dedicated to this awesome snow storm. If the weather is consistently going to be freezing, then why not have snow everywhere. At least when I look out the window now it doesn't remind me right away that everything is dead . Stay warm and enjoy.

A little film knowledge for you. I work at my brother in law's business transferring film to the computer. There are all kinds of reels. Ive been transferring over 6 thousand feet for one client. Each reel has 50 ft of film and they are about 3 minutes long. So it makes a great stop watch for me. In conclusion, I did this sketch as a warm up-test. It took me 7, 50 ft reels (21 minutes) to execute the warm up. But i forgot my white chalk,so ill do that later. Enjoy
